Welcome back to term 3. This may be the longest term of the year but it also promises to be one of the most exciting. We kick off with speeches and our Olympic Study. Week 2 will see many of the year 7 and 8 students heading off for their long awaited sports exchange to Raglan. Students will be working hard on Fridays, preparing for sports camp. A big thank you to Jo Cullen who will be working with us from week 3 on developing a cheer. Also thanks goes to Mr Jimmy Bell, Mr Preece and Mrs Sommervile who will be helping us with sports practices on Friday afternoons.
Students will continue to develop Problem Solving Skills in Maths as well as building their knowledge of Fractions and exploring geometry.
After camp we will be undertaking our health unit on Positive Puberty.
We look forward to seeing the first performance by our Kapa Haka group in our Māori Language week Assembly on Monday of week 2.
For now though, students should be working hard on writing and preparing their Speech which will be delivered to the class in week 4.
