beach hop last weekend cars from all over new zealand came to whangamata beach hop festival. my favourite car was the one with eyelashes. kelsey and i had a great time walking through town and occasionaly stopping to watch the cars go past. when we went up town each night we each had a yummy icecream from the icecream parlor. on the last night we helped fundraise for whangamata playcentre by selling lots of yummy goodies. we also made and sold weatbags at the williamson market. i really enjoyed this years beach hop and cant wait for the next years one to be even better yet. :)
When the car pulled up, we all bellowed with pleasure, as Ricky said, "Wanna ride?" Quickly we jumped in his bright orange hot rod and joined the night parade. What a great feeling it was cruising in a cool as car with my sister and cousins.
Continually going up and down Port Road we screamed, "Rev it up!" as we passed the other cars. Their engines roared like lions, as they tried to prove that they were king of the parade. People, by the hundreds, lined the streets, eagerly watching the passing vehicles, clapping and cheering excitingly.
Ricky Revved it up and my heart started pounding as the adrenalin was pumping through my veins. What a rush that was, I thought to myself. Then we suddenly pulled over to the side, the time had come and our ride was over. All five of us jumped out of the car and waved the orange beast goodbye.
